GoviEx is a private mining company focused on exploration, development and production from the high-grade Madaouela uranium deposits in Niger.

Dr Chuma Igbokwe (CEO of MMG) commented "We are pleased to be entering into a JV agreement with GoviEx. GoviEX has built a world class technical and management team with more than 250 years of combined uranium exploration and operating experience. MMG will be able to access this expertise and we can confidently look forward to improving the value of our highly prospective uranium properties."

MMG, today 12th April 2007, announced that it has been granted 3 Gold Exploration permits by the Ministry of Mines of the Republic of Niger, West Africa. The permits identified as TERA 1, DARSALAM 1 and MARAKA covering over 1600km².

Tera 1 is strategically located in the favourable geological setting known as the Liptako area approximately 150km west of Niamey, the capital city of Niger, on the 50km gold belt and continues with the gold rich border of Burkina Faso

Darsalam 1 also lies within the gold rich region of Liptako to the east of the Tera 1 permit.

The Maraka permit lies within the region of Maradi, where extensive geological surveys had previously been undertaken indicating the presence of rich deposits of alluvial gold. This permit covers an area of approximately 500km²

MMG, which is the mining arm of the UK based Mild Group of Companies, is now well placed to mark its entrance in to the gold exploration business in Niger with the intention of further investment in Uranium within this large West African State.

Semafo is currently working the Samirs Hill Gold mine just south of both the Tera and Darsalam permits. MMG will intensively explore this favourable ground with a dedicated team of Experts and Consultants

The investment represents a diversification of Mild’s portfolio of business interests which currently includes Health Care, Real Estate and Building Construction.

The Minister of Mines for Niger remarked,” We are pleased to have selected MMG for these valuable permits and believe we have put our faith in a young and dynamic group to assist in steering Niger into the 21st Century”.
